Cutting Hay at my place - Leon is a local
farmer that cuts my hay every year.

It is time for a change in Washington for the 8th District
As a business owner, project manager, hunter, fisherman, scuba diver and family man. Minnesota is where I call home and the 8th district is where I live. I love to work and play and my favorite place is in the Minnesota.

Because I live in the 8th district, I see first hand what is happening here at home. High gas prices, heating, housing, food, health care, farming, employment and tourism are all things that we care about here in the 8th.

Within this site you will get a glimpse of who I am and what my goals are when I get to Washington. I hope that you give me the chance to show you that there is a better choice this fall in the 8th district.

Save the Delta Queen

It amazes me how out of touch Washington continues to be as we watch one of our historic icons on the brink of being destroyed by special interest groups and by Mr. Oberstar. Just two years ago he voted to extend the extension from the Coast Guard. Now he is unwilling to because of his Union ties and special interests groups.

This National Historic Landmark needs a renewal of a 40-year exemption from a law that was never intended to cover her. Mr. Oberstar is fighting tooth and nail to see that she does not get that exemption. Click here to read more about the Delta Queen. www.save-the-delta-queen.org

Mr. Oberstar is willing to lose this historic icon refusing to give her the exemption that she has gotten every time the previous exemption has come up for a vote.  Just 2 years ago Mr. Oberstar voted to give her the exemption that she needed and now he does not. Why, well he says it is about safety. This boat is safer then the office he has in Washington.
